Helicopter plucks patient from South Eugene home

EUGENE, Ore. - An air ambulance responded to a medical emergency at a home on South Willamette Street on Tuesday afternoon.

The helicopter appeared to be landing on Spencer Butte from some vantage points, which is not unheard of when a hiker suffers an injury or medical emergency.

Emergency personnel at the scene said a patient required immediate medical attention and the air ambulance responded to take the patient from their home to a hospital.
