JUNCTION CITY -- A 5 percent wage cut at a recreational vehicle manufacturer applies to all employees except the chief executive officer -- who will take a 25 percent cut.

Country Coach in Junction City will cut all employees' wages by 5 percent and President and CEO Jay Howard's wages by 25 percent, said Matt Howard, the company's director of marketing and public relations.

The company employs 1,100 people, according to a recent press release.

David Klein, Junction City administrator, said the announcement is not good news for the city.

Junction City can look forward to new jobs with the construction of a new state prison and mental hospital.
