EUGENE, Ore. -- Your blood can help save lives in Eugene right now.

Two patients with O Negative blood need daily transfusions, and a third patient with that blood type is scheduled for major surgery April 23.

O Negative patients can receive only 0 Negative blood.

Lane Memorial Blood Bank needs donors, even if they do not know their blood type. Prospective donors should be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. Call (541) 484-9111 to schedule an appointment.

Lane Memorial Blood Bank is the sole source of donated blood for the medical facilities in Lane County.  It depends on volunteer donors from the community to maintain the blood supply at a level sufficient to meet all needs.
