Police chase down suspect in neighborhood

EUGENE, Ore. - Police arrived en masse to chase down a suspect in east Eugene Monday, his vehicle and a trunk full of suspected stolen goods.

The suspect, Justin Arbogast, was found hiding between two garbage cans in a backyard in the Chevy Chase area.

Police say arbogast Abandoned this car after Detective Holly Grimes confronted him two blocks away at an apartment complex.

"This person is known to her and she called for reinforcements, for other officers to come in the area, at which time the man got in his vehicle," said Sgt. Jay Shadwick. "He was challenged by the detective, she told him he was under arrest and he took off in the vehicle anyway."

Police dog Dexter found Arbogast in the backyard.
    
He faces charges related to running from police, theft and other crimes.
