Oregon permits the legal sale of fireworks starting Monday June 23.

Oregon law forbids possession, use or sale of fireworks that fly, explode or travel more than 6 feet on the ground or 12 inches into the air. Legal fireworks may be purchased only from Oregon fireworks retailers and stands issued permits by the State Fire Marshal.

Bottle rockets, Roman candles, and firecrackers are illegal in Oregon.

Any fireworks causing damage carries a liability for the offender, who may be required to pay for the resulting fire damage and fire suppression costs. Parents are liable for fireworks-caused damage by their children.
