Sarah Bridges pleaded guilty to third degree rape for having sex with a teenage boy she met while substitute teaching in Eugene schools. She was sentenced to 60 days in jail. Alex Gardner, Lane County's chief deputy district attorney, said Bridges received the longest sentence possible under the sentencing guidelines for someone with no prior record and one offense. Gardner said because Buell sexually abused several victims over time, each time his punishment increased under sentencing guidelines. |
