EUGENE, Ore. - Police are still searching for answers in the murder of a Eugene man.
Lance McBride, 35, died after being shot Friday night or Saturday morning.
McBride's fiance, Sharlene Sheridan, found him dead when she returned home from work Saturday around 9 a.m. Police have released the crime scene, which closed off blocks around Randall Street for hours Saturday.
As of Sunday evening, police weren't saying if the shooting was random or if McBride was targeted. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.

Friends of McBride have posted remembrances on his MySpace page and e-mailed them to KVAL News.
"I will always carry you in my heart and mourn your loss," wrote one friend. "The world was a better place because of you."
Another friend, Darrin Carlisle, knew McBride from their involvement in a group dedicated to researching and recreating pre-17th century European history. Darrin wrote that McBride was a kind and peaceful person and he will be loved and missed.
Eugene Police McBride's death is the first homicide of the year. Last year there were three. That's down from 2006, when there were seven.
