'Most Wanted' fugitive dating woman's daughter
By Elissa Harrington
EUGENE, Ore. - It's a mother's nightmare: A wanted fugitive seen on the news turns out to be your daughter's boyfriend.
Michael Bresnahan is on the nation's Most Wanted list. He's accused of assaulting a 61-year old woman in Massachusetts. Bresnahan was spotted this week at a Wal-Mart in Springfield, Ore. A local woman named Sharley LaReau says Bresnahan and her daughter are living in a dark green Suburban in the Eugene area and often spend the night in parks or by rivers. She says he goes by the name Aaron, has no ID, speaks with a Boston accent and might work part-time as a janitor. LaReau said her daughter picked him up a few months ago at a truck stop in California and since then, he has been to her home in Cottage Grove several times. She says despite reports he may have fled, she believes he's still here. "I know one investigator talked to my daughter and she says he's gone but I can't see it because they're so inseparable," says LaReau. "My family is totally shocked and humiliated and scared for my daughter." LaReau says she's in contact with police and is trying to get more information about where the pair could be. Anyone with information is asked to call police. |
