Drug dog sniffs out $140,000 worth of weed
By KVAL Web StaffASHLAND, Ore. -- A drug dog found 28 pounds of marijuana concealed in the trunk of a California car that was northbound on Interestate 5 this morning. An Oregon State Police trooper stopped the 200 BMW 528i for a traffic violation around 9:26 a.m. A drug-detecting dog helped locate $140,000 worth of pot in the trunk. Troopers arrested (from left to right, below) driver Jose Maria Valencia-Ceballos, 21, and passengers Jose Luis Chavez-Rodriguez, 32, and Gerrado Aguilar Barreto, 18, and charged the three San Pablo, Calif., men with unlawful possession, distribution and manufacturing of marijuana.
