EUGENE, Ore. -- The restaurant TravelOregon.com called Eugene's "downtown landmark bistro" has closed.
Zenon Cafe, the award-winning restaurant on the corner of Pearl and Broadway in the heart of downtown, closed its doors Monday after more than 25 years. Former employees tell KVAL News the last two months have been slow.
At least one employee told a reporter he showed up for work Monday morning only to find he was out of a job.
Frommer's online, a dining guide, says Zenon "has long been the city's top outpost for cutting-edge cookery."
