BRING Recycling will be accepting rigid plastic campaign signs for recycling through Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Glenwood Central Receiving Station. The facility is located at 3100 East 17th Ave. in Glenwood, just off 1-5 (exit 190). It is open Monday thru Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  The facility is closed on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11.

This special collection is for rigid plastic campaign signs only.  Staples, tape, metal or wood posts must be removed before bringing signs to be recycled. Plastic campaign signs are not accepted at BRING’s Planet Improvement Center at 4446 Franklin in Glenwood, or through curbside recycling programs.

“We’d like to see every campaign sign in Lane County reused or recycled,” says Julie Daniel, BRING’s director. “There are thousands of them out there and that adds up to a lot of resources potentially going to waste.”

BRING Recycling is one of the nation’s oldest non-profit resource conservation organizations. Since 1971, BRING has encouraged people to rethink what they use and what they throw away. BRING helps the community keep useful items out of the landfill, find ways to use less stuff, reuse as many things as possible and recycle the rest. BRING has a wealth of information, practical tips and programs to help Lane County residents and visitors live well without waste.
