SALEM, Ore. (AP) -- SeQuential Pacific Biodiesel has starting shipping fuel from a new plant that has boosted capacity to 5 million gallons per year.

The company operates a solar-powered gas station with a variety of fuels from bioethanol to biodiesel at 86714 McVay Hwy, Eugene, Ore., north of the 30th Avenue interchange with Interstate 5. The company also supplies fules to locations around the state.

The old plant had a capacity of just 1 million gallons.

The big increase also means the supply of fuel is big enough in Oregon to trigger a statewide mandate that requires all diesel sold in the state to contain 2 percent biodiesel.

SeQuential Pacific produces biodiesel as sustainably as possible from local feedstocks, including old cooking oil.
