CORVALLIS, Ore. -- An armed man took money from the cash register and video poker machines during the robbery of a Corvallis, Ore., restaurant Saturday, according to police.

A police dog tracked the suspect from AJ's Dawg Haus, 1420 NW 9th Street, west behind the Elks Lodge and south towards NW Grant Avenue, where the dog lost the trail.

Police are looking at the similarities in this robbery and a similar crime committed on Nov. 2 at DeDe's All Lottery Games at 1786 NW 9th Street.

The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 45 and 55.  He is approximately 5'7" to 5'8" tall, thin build with light brown hair and distinct bags under his eyes.  The suspect was wearing a dark green, or flannel, hooded pullover sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over his head.  The sweatshirt most likely had a single pocket in the front near the waist band.  The suspect was also described as wearing light colored blue jeans.

Anyone with information or who saw someone acting suspiciously is asked to contact Detective Brett Roach (541) 766-6924.
