Car crashes into and under truck, driver lives
EUGENE, Ore. -- A car appears to have slammed into the back of the flatbed trailer of a truck at the intersection of Highway 99 and Meadowview, north of the Eugene airport.
The driver of the car, Kim Ensley, 35, of Junction City, was listed in good condition Thursday night at Sacred Heart RiverBend Hospital.
Ensley was southbound on Hwy. 99 when Allen Stone, 58, of Junction City, pulled onto the highway from a private road, according to state police. Ensley's Volvo crashed into the back of Stone's flatbed.
The call came in to emergency dispatch at 6:35 a.m. Resuce workers extracted Ensley from her car and rushed her to the hospital for care.
No citations have been issued, according to state police.
