GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore. -- A Eugene man and two other people were injured in a head-on crash on Highway 26 east of Government Camp, south of Mount Hood.

Scott A. Hoeke, 29, of Eugene suffered serious injuries when his pickup was hit head-on by another pickup that crossed the center line of the road for unknown reasons, according to Oregon State Police.

Hoeke was taken to Legacy Emanuel Hospital. His passenger, Michael Entenman, 32, of La Center, Wash., suffered injuries not believe to be life-threatening, according to state police.

The driver of the other pickup, Gary Larson, 46, of Sisters was eastbound on Hwy. 26 when he drove across the center line for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a 2006 Nissan pickup driven by Hoeke.

A 2004 Infinity came around a curve and was unable to avoid crashing into the back of the Nissan, according to state police.

Larson, Hoeke and Entenman were extricated from their pickups by Hoodland Fire Department personnel. All three were using safety restraints.

The Infinity's driver, Adam Henning, 39, from West Linn, was using safety restraints and not injured.

Highway 26 was closed about two hours.
