ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The family of Stephanie Elizabeth Condon waited over 10 years to hear the news that police have found their daughter.

Stephanie's father, Martin Condon, said they had always hoped they would be bringing their daughter home.

Wednesday was a bittersweet day for the family, who were notified within hours of the positive identification of Stephanie's remains.

Marty Condon teared up while he made a statement in front of media and law enforcement who have followed the case from its beginning.

Stephanie is survived by her father Marty Condon, mother Christine and younger brother Martin Jr.

Stephanie would have been 25 years old this year. 

The investigation is continuing for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Stephanie's death.
