The driver of this Cadillac was seriously injured when he crashed into and under a semi trailer as the truck pulled onto a highway from a side road.
DALLAS, Ore. -- A man crashed his Cadillac into and under a semi-trailer Friday afternoon on Highway 99 as the truck pulled out into the highway from a side road, according to state police.

The driver survived with serious injuries. The driver of the truck was cited by state police on suspicion of making a dangerous left turn.
The accident happened as two commercial trucks made a turn at the corner of Hwy 99 and Clow Corner Road in Polk County.
Jeffrey Morris, 52, of Molalla, Ore., made a left off Clow Corner and onto Hwy 99 as another truck began to take a right off Hwy 99 onto Clow Corner.
Ronald Smith, 66, of Salem from behind that second vehicle and hit Morris' truck as it turned left in front of him, according to state police.

Firefighters pulled Smith from the wreckage and rushed him to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis, Ore., for treatment. He was using safety restraints, and his airbag deployed.
Smith was not injured. State police cited him on suspicion of making an unsafe left turn.
