EUGENE, Ore. -- A driver whose passenger died when their car hit a power pole on Jasper-Lowell Road in January now faces charges of manslaughter, reckless driving and DUII.

Klint Rhea, 24, of Dexter, Ore., was ejected from the truck and died at the scene Jan. 16.

Almost four months later, the Lane County Sheriff's Office arrested driver Anthony Holcomb, 22, of Springfield, Ore., on Sunday on suspicion of manslaughter, reckless driving and DUII in Rhea's death.

Collision reconstruction and additional investigation by deputies revealed alcohol and speed contributed to the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
