Defend yourself against criminal predators
By Arrianee LeBeau KVAL NewsEUGENE, Ore -- Three women were abducted and robbed last week. An additional two University of Oregon students were groped and flashed by a man. Does a rash of crime in our area have you worried about your safety? A Eugene studio teaches how to defend yourself against predators. George Snodgrass and Sylvia Cranston are the owners of RMA Martial Arts and Fitness. The studio specializes in Haganah self defense training.
Haganah skills are easy to learn but require practice to perfect. Snodgrass said practice helps you gain confidence and makes your reactions automatic. “We practice this over and over like the military. So if your awareness shrinks up and you need to go in reaction mode, this is mostly likely going to come out,” said Snodgrass. Haganah is taught Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. The studio is on 27th and Willamette in Eugene. Can you recommend a self-defense training course? Post a comment |
