BURNS, Ore. -- Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle fatal accident on between Burns and Burns Junction in rural southeastern Oregon Monday.

Linda Lea Pruyn, 65, of Crane, Ore., was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe she was eastbound when her car crossed the westbound lanes and left the road. Her 1999 Ford Contour overturned and rolled several times.

Pruyn was wearing her seatbelt, and her airbags deployed, police said.

The crash was on Highway 78 (Steens Hwy) near milepost 57, near the Harney/Malheur County Line. The remote two-lane highway connects Burns with Burns Junction, where the highway meets U.S. 95, which heads east to Jordan Valley, Ore., and south to Winnemucca, Nev.
