(541) 997-5182 closes gap between Eugene and Florence
By KVAL.com staffFLORENCE, Ore. -- No more long-distance runaround for Lane County residents on the Oregon Coast: Florence and Mapleton residents now have a local phone number to call to reach county government offices in Eugene. In the past, citizens living in Western Lane County who wished to contact county government offices needed to dial the Eugene numbers, which meant a long distance call. Those citizens can now dial a local number that will ring into Eugene: (541) 997-5182. Once dialed, citizens will reach a phone tree which gives options for reaching the Board of Commissioners, Public Works, Sheriff’s Office (including Parole and Probation) and Health and Human Services (including Veteran’s Services). There is also an option that will assist citizens that wish to be transferred to another county department. |
