EUGENE, Oregon-- A man is in critical condition at the hospital after a pickup truck overturned around 1:30 Wednesday morning on Timberline Drive in Southwest Eugene.

According to Eugene police, two people were inside the truck cab and one person was in the truck bed.

While coming down a hill, the truck appeared to hit the curb several times before rolling over.

The man in the bed was thrown from the truck.

The driver and both passengers were taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. The driver and the passenger in the cab were treated for minor injuries, but the passenger in the truck bed was kept for serious injuries.

Police say alcohol was likely a factor in the crash, and an investigation is ongoing.
