WinCo: Recalled beef may have shipped to Eugene
By KVAL.com staffEUGENE, Ore. -- Got beef? Don't fire up the barbecue just yet. WinCo Foods says four cases of beef possibly contaminated with E. coli were shipped to one or more of 17 stores in Oregon, Washington and Idaho, including the Eugene location on Barger Drive. The Springfield location is not on the list. The four cases, approximately 200 pounds of beef, are part of some 380,000 pounds of beef recalled by the JBS Swift Beef Company. WinCo Foods received only four cases of the beef subject to the recall. The beef was then shipped to one or more of the following WinCo Foods store locations for further processing and sale to the public: Store #1, Boise, Idaho, 110 E. Myrtle St. Only these limited items are involved, and only if sold at one of the WinCo Foods stores listed above with code dates within the range of dates listed. |
