EUGENE, Ore. -- A house fire completely destroyed a North Eugene home and damaged another.

It started around 3 p.m. on Saturday. The homeowner said his fire alarm went off, and, after seeing that his porch was on fire, he and a neighbor tried putting it out. However, high winds spread the fire to the house.

Nobody was hurt. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
