Bigfoot spotted in Eugene

Reports of Bigfoot sightings in Eugene may be on the rise as the official mascot for Travel Oregon and Oregon 150 arrives for a whirlwind day of activities on Tuesday, July 7. As part of the I Am Oregonian challenge, in connection with Oregon's sesquicentennial activities, Seski the Sasquatch has emerged from hiding to tour the state and take part in the challenge. Seski plans to make at least eight stops in Eugene.
Following is a list of Seski’s schedule and activities:
10:30 a.m. – Arrive in Eugene
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. – Stop at McKenzie Outfitters (566 Olive St.) to get climbing gear. Head to Skinner Butte Park to climb the columns (by 11 a.m.), and then run through RiverPlay playground.
11:30 to Noon – Break
12:30 to 1:30 p.m. – Tour the Cascades Raptor Center (32275 Fox Hollow Rd.) in south Eugene.
1:30 – 2:30 p.m. – Lunch break
2:30 to 3:30 p.m. – Meet the Oregon Duck mascot, who will present Seski with a special gift on the steps of Villard Hall. Then, visit Hayward Field and the Museum of Natural & Cultural History at the University of Oregon.
4 to 7 p.m. – Break
7 to 7:30 p.m. – Make an Oregon Bach Festival appearance.
Seski has already made stops in Portland, Grants Pass, Pendleton and Newport. He’ll head to Bend following his visit to Eugene.
