Cable guy visits wrong Corvallis apartment, finds dead woman
CORVALLIS, Ore. -- A cable company worker who went to the wrong apartment discovered the body of a 78-year-old woman police now believe was murdered.
Police identified the victim as Yvonne C. Perry, 78, of Corvallis, Ore.
If you saw anyone with blood on his or her clothing, shoes or skin Saturday or Sunday near Corvallis, Ore., police would like to hear from you.
Perry's body was discovered Sunday at 2 p.m. when a cable company worker went to the wrong apartment at 2120 NW Janssen Street in Corvallis, police said. An autopsy being performed Monday in Portland should narrow down the time of death.
Police need the public's help locating the killer or killers.
"The investigation revealed that during the commmission of the crime that blood would have transferred from our victim to the assailant," said Capt. Jon Sassaman with the Corvallis Police Department.
