Beltline Hwy.-Coburg Rd. project to impact traffic Nighttime paving and construction will create lane restrictions
The Oregon Department of Transportation and its contractor, Wildish Construction Company will begin paving operations on the Beltline Highway at Coburg Road Interchange Friday, Sept. 25, with the paving of the eastbound Beltline Highway off-ramp.
This will not impact traffic.
However, traffic on Coburg Road will be restricted between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. for four nights next week and eastbound Beltline Highway could see a single lane closure during the same time period on several nights.
Beginning Monday night, Sept. 28, and continuing through Thursday night, Oct. 1, traffic in both directions on Coburg road will be restricted while crews grind, pave and stripe the roadway. Motorists should expect lane closures and short delays while flaggers direct travel.
Beginning Wednesday night, Sept. 30 through Friday night, Oct. 2, motorists traveling eastbound on Beltline Highway could experience a single lane closure while new guardrail is constructed.
The goal of the $2.75-million project is to relieve congestion on both Beltline Highway and Coburg Road.
The project will extend and widen the Beltline Highway off-ramps to Coburg Road; convert the median on Coburg Road to a left-turn lane for the eastbound Beltline on-ramp; and provide a sound wall for residents on the southwest corner of the intersection.
