VENETA, Ore -- Elizabeth Conger died suddenly last April, four days before her thirteenth birthday. On Saturday, her classmates held a memorial at Fern Ridge Middle School.  Her best friend talked about how they were like sisters. Her teacher led the group in "Cumbaya."  Elizabeth's aunt said the ceremony would mean so much to her niece.

"It's important to have the school's support and the kids support," said Caren Conger.

Classmates and friends dedicated a tree and a rock in Elizabeth's memory.
