A former Churchill High School teacher was arrested Friday afternoon on charges of sexual abuse. 25-year-old Curtis Buell was apprehended in Camas, Wash. just hours after Eugene police issued a warrant for his arrest.

A Lane County grand jury indicted Buell on 17 counts of sexual abuse. Police spokeswoman Melinda Kletzok confirms that Buell is a former Churchill teacher and the police have been investigating him since last October.
