CORVALLIS, Ore. -- An 80-year-old Corvallis man died early Saturday morning when his car left the road and overturned into a ditch. Troopers suspect the man may have suffered a medical problem prior to the crash.

Dale D. Schrock, 80, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was using safety restraints, and his car's airbags deployed, according to Oregon State Police.

Troopers believe Schrock was northbound on Highway 99 at 6 a.m. Saturday morning when his 1999 Ford Crown Victoria left the road and overturned into a ditch.

Troopers investigating the crash are looking into the possibility that Schrock had a medical problem that may have caused him to drive off the highway.
