EUGENE, Ore. -- Halloween night. Ducks win. And no riots -- although police reported 254 calls for service between 9 p.m. Nov. 1 and 2 a.m. Saturday.

Among the charges and citations given out:

  • 31 were for minors in possession of alcohol or drugs
  • 12 were for prohibited noise
  • Eight were for driving under the influence

A decade ago, Halloween fell on a weekend in conjunction with a big football game, prompting concerns that is past Saturday might see unruly street riots like those in the late 1990s.
