SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Deputies arrested a man they believe fired a shotgun into a ground during an argument with his neighbor.

Daniel Hilliard was arrested on suspicion of menacing Tuesday about 10 miles east of Springfield, Ore. Investigators believe he fired a shotgun into the ground during a dispute with a neighbor.

Deputies told KVAL News theere is a history of disputes between Hilliard and his neighbors, including a complaint he called in last summer accusing his neighbor of hitting him in the head with a golf ball.
