HARRISBURG, Ore. -- A 7-year-old girl was flown to the hospital after she was pinned under a float in the Harrisburg Fourth of July parade, officials from the Harrisburg Fire Department said.
The girl has a fractured hip and was listed in stable condition, said Harrisburg volunteer firefighter Matt McCarl.
McCarl said the girl was riding through the parade route and stumbled while trying to get off of the float, built out of a trailer.
She became pinned underneath the float and was dragged for a short distance, he said.
Linn County Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Cone told our news team that the girl was flown by air ambulance to Sacred Heart at Riverbend Hospital. She was in stable condition as of Saturday morning.
