Forecast: Wind gusts up to 80 mph on Oregon Coast
FLORENCE, Ore. -- Wind. Waves.
Look out: Here we go again.
The National Weather Service in Portland has upgraded the high wind watch for the central Oregon Coast to a high wind warning.
The warning is in effect from 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon to 4 a.m. Thursday.
Forecasters issued a second high wind watch for Thursday morning through Thursday evening.
Forecasters have also issued a high surf advisory, which is in effect from midnight Wednesday to 6 a.m. Friday.

"The next in a series of powerful pacific storm systems will impact the coastline with strong winds and large seas," the National Weather Service said in a series of bulletins.
"Sustained south winds will increase to 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph after 4 p.m.," forecasters predict. The strongest winds with gusts to 70 mph along the coast will happen later Wednesday evening.
"Winds will diminish to 25 to 35 mph after midnight," forecasters said, "but gusts to 60 mph will be possible through 4 a.m. Thursday morning.
"Winds will diminish during the early morning hours but reintensify later Thursday morning as a second somewhat stronger frontal wave lifts north through the offshore waters," the bulletin warns. "Gusts to 60 mph will be possible beginning mid Thursday morning with the strongest winds arriving Thursday afternoon and evening. During that time period expect sustained south winds of 50 mph and gusts to 80 mph."
High surf advisory
"The next storm system will cause seas offshore to build back above 20 feet Wednesday night reaching around 25 feet Thursday morning through Thursday evening before beginning to subside," forecasters warned. "This will be a prolonged high surf event. Dangerous surf will continue to impact coastal areas through early Friday morning. Large logs and other debris can easily be tossed around by the force of these waves. Even the largest logs can roll easily on gently sloped beaches in ankle deep water. High surf conditions are enhanced during high tides. the high tides on the central Oregon Coast for Thursday and Friday occur in the early morning and early afternoon."
