EUGENE, Ore. -- The holiday season is going to be much brighter for area kids, thanks to the creativity of a Florence man.

Marine veteran Irwin Bradley stopped in Eugene Tuesday with a unique donation.

He's a woodworker and has made nearly 80 handcrafted wood toys.

All these trucks, boats and trains are going to the Toys for Tots holiday drive.

"It just always intrigued me to make toys like that," he said. "You see a lot of people doing it. I mean these are not the greatest, but they're neat. They're unique I think."

Members of the U.S. Marine Corps reserve dropped by the Woodcraft store Tuesday morning to pick up the donated toys.

Bradley says he wants to challenge other local wood crafters to make toys for the Toys for Tots drive.
