Sheriff: Autopsy performed on boy's body

EUGENE, Ore. -- An autopsy was performed on the 2-year-old boy who died Friday after being at a home where another boy suffered fatal injuries in an accident in 2008, the sheriff's office said.

The results of the autopsy of Lincoln Weathers, 2, are not yet available, the Lane County Sheriff's Office said.

"The Sheriff's Office recognizes the sensitive nature of this inquiry, and is committed to conducting a methodical and thorough investigation," the sheriff's office said in a press release.

Lincoln, the son of Brandon and Francis Weathers of Springfield, Ore., was at the home of Janna Bauman, 29, who operates a daycare out of the home.

The Sheriff's Office said medics arrived when Weathers was reportedly having trouble breathing. According to Capt. Bill Thompson.
