Springfield - It's a set of wheels of a different sort for these next folks. A local husband and wife formed a group called 'Team Hydrate.' They'll be riding a tandem bike five thousand miles this summer, hoping to raise five thousand dollars for a non-profit called "thirst relief."

"We're trying to raise awareness and funds for them to provide projects in the third world like water filters and well digging," says cyclist Jenny Shine.

The Shines will travel over the Cascade Mountains, through the desert, over the Rockies, and across the Great Plains. They say they're well prepared.

"Across the back we'll have the tent sleeping bag and sleeping pads so we'll be on the ground most nights and then probably once a week we'll get a hotel to freshen up," says Scott Shine.

They plan on leaving May 30, 2007.
