REDMOND, Ore. -- The driver ran several stop signs and nearly hit another vehicle before crashing into a parked pickup truck.
Police detained an injured woman at the scene, but three men fled the scene on foot.
One of the men, wanted on multiple criminal warrants, was found hiding in the backyard of a nearby house.
Police scooped up another man, who was suffering from a head injury, as he attempted to hitchhike out of the area.
Now police want your help finding the man believed to have been behind the wheel of the stolen car Sunday.
Oregon State Police troopers are looking for Theodore "Teddy" Ernest Jokinen, 32, who investigators believe was the driver of a black Honday a trooper observed run stop signs and nearly hit a vehicle in Redmond, Ore., before the Honda crashed into the side of a parked pickup.
Three men fled the scene. Police said a 34-year-old woman identified as Melissa Jokinen was detained at the car. She was later transported to St. Charles Medical Center in Redmond with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers found one the suspected passengers, Anthony A. Ortega, 25, hiding in the backyard of a nearby residence. Ortega was arrested and lodged in the Deschutes County Jail for three outstanding warrants: Parole Violation; Failure To Appear - Dangerous Drugs; and Fail to Appear - Larceny.
An OSP trooper in an unmarked patrol car located another of the men, Cody Stephen Stackhouse, 20, attempting to hitchhike on Highway 126. Stackhouse was transported to St. Charles Medical Center in Redmond for a head injury.
Police said stolen license plates from the Redmond area were on the Honda. Police later learned that the car was an unreported stolen vehicle and it had left without paying for gasoline at a local gas station.
Now police are asking that anyone with information regarding the location of Teddy Jokinen to call 9-1-1 or OSP dispatch at 800-452-7888.
