City suggests warming up at a library or community center

As temperatures plunge below the freezing mark, the City of Eugene invites individuals to warm up in City libraries and community centers and at the Atrium Building.

The City's three libraries are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Downtown Library is also open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday with both branch libraries closed.

The locations for the City's Libraries are:
*       Downtown Library - 100 W. 10th  Avenue
*       Sheldon Branch Library - in the Sheldon Shopping Plaza, 1566 Coburg Road
*       Bethel Branch Library - in the Echo Hollow Shopping Plaza, 1990 Echo Hollow Road

The hours of operation and locations of the City's Community Centers are:
*       Amazon Center, 2700 Hilyard Street, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., M-F
*       Campbell Center, 155 High Street, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., M-F
*       Hilyard Center, 2580 Hilyard Street, 9 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., M-F
*       Sheldon Community Center, 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. M-F
*       Petersen Barn Center, 870 Berntzen Road, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., M-F
*       River House Center, 301 N. Adams Street, Noon - 4 p.m., M-F

The lobby of the Atrium Building, 99 W. 10th Ave., is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., M-F.
