State police find 113 pounds of pot in car
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- A state trooper seized over a quarter million dollars worth of marijuana after stopping a car for traffic violation and asking for consent to search the vehicle Monday morning.
The trooper found 113 pounds of marijuana concealed in the turnk of the 2008 Mazda during the traffic stop just before noon on Highway 97.
The trooper arrested the driver, Ricardo Sanchez, 26, of Pasco, Wash., on suspicion of distribution of marijuana and booked him into the Klamath County Jail.
State police estimated the value of the marijuana at $282,000.
