Animal adoption uses bank for help
The key bank parking lot on Coburg Road in Eugene is used to lazy Sunday mornings.
But lately, the Sunday trend is changing with fewer people withdrawing cash and more folks leaving with a pet.
The dogs and cats come from Lane County Animal Regulation Authority.

In the last four weeks, there have been close to twenty animals adopted from the Save the Pets Adoption site.
The president, Lori Smith says there is a pet over population problem, so she wanted to start a animal adoption center.

Each dog has its own volunteer, who is ready to answer any questions from potential adopters.
With a location along busy Coburg Road, volunteers hope more folks swing by.
The adoption site will run every Sunday at ten in the morning until three in the afternoon through the summer.

Smith says she is currently raising money to get her own animal adoption center.
Her goal is to have it up and running by next year.
