Silverton woman froze to death near Baker City

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Preliminary autopsy results show hypothermia caused the death of a Silverton woman whose body was found Friday in Baker City.

Baker County District Attorney Matt Shirtcliff says 28-year-old Jaquelyn Breezi Jones had last been seen by a friend on Feb. 25.

She was reported missing a day later and the county's Major Crime Team joined the investigation March 1.

The Baker City Herald reports the body was discovered on a parcel of private property in the southern part of the city.

The autopsy was performed Saturday in Portland.
