Boy accused of murder, rape to be arraigned

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Roseburg boy who is charged in the murder of a 5-year-old girl on Friday is set to be arraigned in a Douglas County courtroom Monday.

Dustin Wallace, 16, was charged with Aggravated Murder, Rape I, Sexual Abuse I and Unlawful Sexual Penetration.

The 5-year-old girl died Friday morning in the duplex where Wallace was staying on Elaine Street. The mother of the victim, Lydia Dwight, lived there with her young children.

Wallace was booked into the Douglas County Juvenile facility late Friday afternoon after he was arrested by police.

The Douglas County medical examiner is expected to do an autopsy Monday as well, to determine the cause of death.
