ROSEBURG, Ore. -- An accident blocked the southbound lane of Stewart Parkway Thursday afternoon after the driver of a car says he pulled over for an ambulance and a bicyclist rammed into the back of his car.
The driver said he pulled his car over to the side of the road when an ambulance passed by heading northbound. The driver of the vehicle told KPIC News that the bicyclist had his head down and just didn't see the car.
The cyclist went through the back windshield, completely shattering it.
The man on the bike had to be taken to the hospital, but left the scene conscious and breathing.
The driver of the vehicle was unhurt but was in the middle of moving and had most of his clothes in his car at the time. The accident left them all covered in glass.
