EUGENE, Ore. - A local man is getting the ultimate Christmas gift this holiday – a place to call home.
Texsi Hoover received a camping trailer, all thanks to a generous donation from adult protective services specialist Samuel Rutledge.
About a week ago, Rutledge said he got a call at work and learned that Hoover was found hypothermic in the park.
"My feet been frozen. My whole body's been frozen," Texsi said.

"It's hard to say exactly what would have happened to him if no one had found him. But there's a good chance he would not be with us at all,” said Rutledge.
Unfortunately, space is limited at programs like St. Vincent de Paul's overnight parking program, and Texsi Hoover is still looking for a place to park.
Those interested in helping or that know of a space for the trailer can get in touch with Rutledge by calling 541-682-7481 or by sending him an email.
