Army investigating suspicious death at Lewis-McChord
JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. - The Army is investigating the suspicious death of a soldier's spouse overnight on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, officials confirmed Saturday.
A base spokesperson said the spouse's death involved a soldier who is not assigned to the base.
The soldier was taken into custody and the Army's Criminal Investigation Command is handling the investigation, officials said.
No other details were immediately available.
Base officials would not comment on reports to KOMO News from base residents that a soldier had stabbed his wife to death.
