Beaver dam breaks, flooding Northwest suburb

DUVALL, Wash. --At least one home in Duvall was flooded by a surprise river of water after a beaver dam naturally broke late Monday morning.
Aerial videos show running water and at least one home flooded with another near flood waters in the area where 296th Way NE meets NE and 124th Street.
"The water and all the debris that tends to accumulate behind such a structure has washed down stream," said Lynn Miller with King County Emergency Management, adding the situation is still dynamic.
Crews were still assessing how many people were affected by the flood.
"There are homes impacted, but no word at all that any lives are in danger," Miller said.
In the meantime, some roads in the area were also covered in water after after the dam broke just after 11 a.m.
"Honor the road closure signs," Miller said. "Even if it appears the water level is low, there’s too much unknown and its best to turn around and don’t drown."
Police, fire and King County road crews were on the scene helping those affected.
"Hopefully cross our fingers that this will be short lived," Miller said.

 @duba2102 @PEANUT Seriously you two!
If either of you, or anyone on this planet for that matter, actually believe a word that comes out of the mouth of ANY politician, then those that say Americans are too stupid to see what is happening until it's too late are right!!! Obama has systematically shredded our rights by ignoring the Constitution and doing whatever he wants, and Iâm sure that if Romney is elected, it wonât be amy different. So please, keep your political âmy dad can beat your dad up" crap for someone who actually believes as you do that ANY politician will actually do something FOR Americans that isnât self serving, and realize that they are ALL power-hungry and in the pockets of SOMEONE BIGGER THAN ANY OF US and are NOT going to actually HELP any of us, ever.
 @angelgabe  @PEANUT that was my point, leave the politics out of it and think of the people whose lives have been changed by this "flood"...I didn't say Obama would do any better than Romney.
This is awesome...hope they had flood insurance, or at the very least act of god insurance.
Â
Watch, Obama will have to create more GOV..another department..hmm maybe," Department of Beaver damn inspection and removal".
So...How is the Beaver family after they lost everything in a flood? Are they OK? ;-)
 @angelgabe The beavers live in a den. The dams can be taken care of with a bit of explosives.  Usually in cases like this the beavers will be trapped.
This is what happens when we allow rodents to unionize. Thanks, NObama.
 @pandaKrusher Funny!!!!
