Blackhawk lands in South Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon Army National Guard dropped in Wednesday at the Eugene Police Activities League camp at the Arts and Technology Academy in South Eugene.

Oregon Army National Guard crews respond to local emergencies, plucking injured climbers off Cascade peaks and pulling drowning kayakers from Oregon rivers.

Blackhawk crews from Oregon also serve overseas, providing medevac transport in Iraq in 2009.

Quite the mix of clouds over Reedsport/Winchester Bay on Thursday 05/16/2013. Unfortunately, a lot of Scotch Broom, too. It may be invasive but it sure photographs well. I even managed to unknowingly capture a flying bumblebee in one of my photos.

Ringo is Missing!

This isn't much of a story as much as it is a cry for help. On Friday our family cat went missing. Ringo is a black male Bombay, and he is neutered. He was last seen at his home on Kinney Loop in Eugene, near Crescent. He is very friendly and quite the talker.
