Boil Water Notice issued for Coquille

COQUILLE, Ore. - Drink tap water? Boil it.

The City of Coquille asks residents to avoid consuming city water until 3 a.m. Thursday morning after a water main broke on Wednesday.

The city says the pipe broke at 1st Street and North Central Boulevard at about 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Some residents have discolored water, othere have no visible problem at all.

To be safe: Boil city water before drinking, cooking - perhaps even bathing and teethbrushing, for good measure.
