Boy, 12, accused of sex abuse
ROSEBURG, Ore. - A 12-year-old boy remains behind bars, accused of sex abuse.
The boy faces 3 counts of first degree sex abuse and 2 counts of sexual penetration.
A judge Wednesday ordered the boy held until a Nov. 7 court hearing.
Aric Fromdahl, director of the county juvenile department, declined to give any specifics about the case.
The charges accuse the boy of victimizing a younger girl and a younger boy, both known to the boy, the sheriff's office said.
The boy is too young to face mandatory minimum sentencing under Oregon's Measure 11.
KPIC and KVAL News have elected not to identify the accused boy due to his age and legal uncertainty about whether he will face juvenile charges or be tried as an adult.
We all deep down know what the problem is, and most are unwilling to do anything about it due to political correctness, and liberalism in the justice system. So just expect more and don't complain, or get off your butts, elect truth and honor, and let's get things fixed.
They need to find the adult who taught this boy to do these things and punish them. The boy needs help and to be put away so he can not hurt another child. Trying him as an adult would do no one any good. The juvenile system can keep him away from innocent children, and offer him therapy for the abuse he has suffered, teach him to go a different direction with his life and also keep an eye on him to see if he is likely to re-offend. The adult system would simply throw him away to get worse and definitely re-offend.
He has probably been sexually abused in the past. That's not an excuse and he should still face justice, but I would bet that is the case.
What the heck is going on in this kids head.
Uh oh...this is not good.
